Taking the first step can be daunting. You are most welcome to telephone me or send an e-mail with your questions before we decide a time to meet.
Sessions take place in a purpose built consulting room in my garden. The building is set apart from the main house and the room is spacious with velux windows above and with bi-fold doors looking directly onto the garden. Ideally, we should meet in person, face-to-face, but I can also arrange on line sessions on an occasional basis if necessary and appropriate.
The initial consultation takes place over two sessions and these would be arranged for the same week or consecutive weeks. This is an opportunity to explore the difficulties and to think about what may best facilitate change and growth before agreeing to embark on the process of therapy.
The therapeutic process requires continuity in order to be effective. It therefore involves sustained commitment from both parties and we would agree regular times to meet on the same days each week. Sessions are fifty minutes long. Continuity is important and this time is kept for you. Therefore I do charge for all sessions that you miss or cancel, whatever the reason, and even when notice is given.
I offer sessions at a frequency of up to five times weekly. More frequent sessions can provide greater continuity and containment (the sense of being safely held so that deeper parts of oneself can be explored). This offers the potential for deep rooted and lasting change for individuals willing to engage in longer term therapy.
From £85 per session.
I review my fees annually.
